About the Story

Howard is a lonely little owl who spends his days flying through the sky calling out for someone to play with. When he finally hears a mysterious “Me-e-e” coming from inside a big red barn, his search for friendship truly begins.

I first imagined this story for my son, Xavier, while my wife was pregnant, telling it to him through her belly and later watching his face light up as he recognized Howard in my drawings. This book is designed to be just as interactive for your family. As you read along, children can practice hooting like Howard, bleating like Oscar the Goat, and learning early concepts like looking up, down, left, and right. It's a gentle, heartfelt tale about overcoming loneliness and the simple joy of finding a best friend.
